Singer / Composer Clayton J. Foor lives in Pleasant Hill, CA. He is a professional pianist, a singer/songwriter, composer, and music instructor. For ten years starting in 2001 Clayton was a regular pianist at the Nordstrom Department stores in the Bay Area. He has performed his pop music at the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley, the Red Devil Lounge in San Francisco, at several local open mics and piano bars, and even at some Bay Area churches. He has taught music at Los Medanos College in Pittsburg, CA and Las Positas College in Livermore, CA., and he currently has a private piano teaching practice of about 45 students.
Clayton's original music was performed in 2008 at the New Music in the Gallery concert series in downtown Chicago. He has received the ASCAP Plus Award for composition four years running starting in 2007. In 2001 he directed a small a capella group singing his own arrangement of the Star Spangled Banner on the pitcher's mound to open a game at AT&T Park (formerly Pacific Bell Park). In 2006, he acted and sang in a San Francisco musical theatre production of a show called Yesterday Once More. For eight years Clayton also served as the Music Director of Tri-Valley Unity Church in Dublin, CA. He is a graduate of Stanford University with an A.B. in Music with a concentration in Composition.
